Vision and Eye Health in Adults and Seniors

Our adult services program is about creating public awareness around the importance of regular eye exams. Serious eye conditions or disease could be developing even though you have not noticed a significant change in your vision. Detecting and treating eye conditions early in adults is just as imperative as it is in children. Detecting and treating vision disorders early can make a significant difference in managing a disease or slowing its progression. Thanks to many medical advances, conditions that once resulted in blindness are now being controlled with medications that can prevent or significantly decrease vision loss.

Statistical information regarding the "baby boomer" population is steadily pouring into the health industry, and information shows that blinding disorders such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy and Cataracts will soon be at an all-time high.

Awareness is key - visit our Eye Health & Safety library to learn more about your topic of interest.  You can also access our adult vision risk assessment by clicking here.
