Steve Dickinson Receives the Joseph E. Nichols Award for Service
Board Member Steve Dickinson Honored
During an annual business meeting November 13, 2010 in Chicago, Tim Gresham presented one of our highest honors to Richmond's Steve Dickinson.
The Joseph E. Nichols Award was established in honor and memory of the founder of Prevent Blindness Mid-Atlantic. The award recognizes leadership, strength in character, dedication, selfless service and longevity of service.
Steve Dickinson's commitment and performance on behalf of Prevent Blindness Mid-Atlantic has been the textbook example of what this prestigious award stands for. Since Steve's earliest days as a volunteer (starting in 1997), he showed us that he is a man of action, follow-through amd results. That kind of volunteer leadership is the esssence of Prevent Blindness.
It is a pleasure and an honor to add the Steve Dickinson's name to the list of only three past recipients of this distinguished award that includes:
- John P. Henderson, Jr.
- John D. O’Neill, Jr.
- Dale Cannady
